CyHi Da Prynce – Royal Flush

GOOD Music’s latest signee recently dropped his mixtape titled Royal Flush. CyHi is making a name for himself with his impressive appearances on Kanye’s GOOD Friday series (he can be heard on “So Appalled”, and “Take One for the Team”), and the GOOD Music Cypher from last week’s BET Hip Hop Awards. Royal Flush features production from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Kanebeatz, as well as the banger “So Appalled”. The ATLien proves he can hold his own aside from his GOOD Friday features.

Got Ya Covered: Kanye’s Beautiful Dark Twisted Album Cover

18 10 2010

Yesterday, controversial MC Kanye West released his proposed album cover for his upcoming fifth LP. His album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has been heavily talked about; from the moving portrait of “Power”, the lengthly and unique album title, the red suited performances, and now the album cover. The album cover features a painting by George Condo (who also provided both the “Power” and “Runaway” single artwork), depicting Kanye West holding a brewsky getting rode by a topless “phoenix” with no arms and a polka-dotted tail.

Guess Who’s Bizack!

18 10 2010

It’s been a while since I blogged since I’ve been extremely busy corporate grindin’ and keeping the bills paid. I tried my best to keep dropping fresh content on a daily basis but eventually it got too hard to manage my blog, work schedule, and my personal life. I’m going to try my best to keep you all informed on what’s hot in Hip Hop and upcoming talent. I do apologize for the hiatus, but I’m back now.

Stay tuned!

Side B: Miss Me feat. Lil Boosie (Snippet)

It seems that lately artists have been dropping new music in two’s; last week there were two new Eminem tracks, over the weekend there were two new Wayne songs, and today I got two new tracks from Young Jeezy. First is the Boi-1da produced, “Scared Money” which features an impressive verse by Lil Wayne, and next is a snippet of a Boosie assisted cut. In other Young Jeezy news, he recently reconciled his differences with long time rival Gucci Mane on a radio show with Dj Drama. He will also drop Thug Motivation 103 in 2010.

Album Review: Clipse – Til The Casket Drops

8 12 2009

In 2002, the Clipse released their breakout hit “Grindin’” instantly gaining everyone’s attention as the duo ripped the Neptunes classic instrumental. Following up their debut hit, they released the club anthem “When’s the Last Time” showing their persistence with singles. Their Neptune-produced album Lord Willin’ featured both tracks, and many more bangers about lying females, their differences from other rappers, and more raps about crack than all of Jeezy’s albums combined. Their following album Hell Hath No Fury was fully produced by the Neptunes as well, but didn’t have the mainstream success as their debut, yet and still was well received by critics. Three years later, they strike back with their current album Til The Casket Drops, slightly switching up their subject matter and swapping out a couple of Neptunes beats with Sean C. & LV, and upcoming producer DJ Khalil. Will the Clipse’s changes to their content and production affect their reliable strategy, or will Til The Casket Drops prove their consistency?

Dope or Nope 12/7 – The R&B Edition!

7 12 2009

I’m hitting you with two new R&B tracks for today’s new joints. First, there’s the remix to Trey Songz current smash “Invented Sex” with Keri Hilson and Usher, and next it’s Sade’s comeback single “Soldier of Love”.

Trey Songz feat. Keri Hilson & Usher – Invented Sex (Remix)

The beautiful Keri Hilson (as seen above) hops on Trey Songz’ “Invented Sex” along with Usher, replacing the Drake feature. Both artists do the song justice with their feature making it a great R&B collaboration next to Kellz “Pregnant” with Tyrese, The-Dream, and Robin Thicke.

Sade – Soldier of Love

It’s been 9 years since we’ve heard new music from the soulful Sade, and today she breaks her silence. Her newest single “Soldier of Love” premiered today, and her upcoming album shares the same name as the single. The album will be released February 8th of next year. Is it safe to say R&B is back?
